You’ve taken everything for-granted, losing everything except your last breath of air has made you realize

Daylight hits your eyes and you can’t help but to cringe. You feel the soil beneath your feet, Bow down and kiss the ground. You’ve taken everything for-granted, losing everything except your last breath of air has made you realize Your fear for the reaper; How precious this life is; How badly you miss the life you once knew. I’m not the villain you’re making me out to be, I’m your epiphany. Your not dying till your last breathes left your lungs (don’t give up). You’re not dead until you’re lying in you’re grave (don’t give in). Daylight hits your eyes and you can’t help but to cry. I’m not the villain You’re making me out to be.

The gluttony of our kind has become too much, It’s toxic. We can’t continue to grow, While your corruption infects us. It’s getting harder to co-exist With all this greed spread amongst us. This is our time to arise; I am the voice of the people. You’ve left me with no choice, As you watch the poor starve. Your manipulation hooks to deep And we can’t cut free. This is not a fucking game. Our lives will not be laid down for your gain. Your words will fall upon deaf ears, Your lies will fall upon deaf ears. Arm every man, every woman, and every child, With knowledge. Though eyes may be open they just don’t tend to see The view of the world so clearly in front of me. We can’t turn a blind eye to their lies. They say they care, but they’ll leave us behind. (Snap out of this) Lifeless slumber. They’ve got us in their system, They’ve made us part of their game. We need to take back what’s rightfully ours; Our lives.

If there isn’t any rest for the wicked Then there isn’t any sleep for the victim. This vicious cycle is stuck on repeat, Why don’t we ever learn from history? I’ve seen this all before; There have been others just like you. Syphoning our dreams to fuel your own goals. This time. This time if I fall to the ground, I won’t tell you all the lessons I’ve found. I’ve lived this life for far too long And still we haven’t, haven’t evolved. I’ve been screaming and shouting hoping someone would hear, Yet no one has heard my cries. In the end don’t look to me, As I’ll just say I told you so. Silence the messianic reign (herald the era for enlightenment), Blood holds the call within us all. Human kind has been falling asleep at the wheel, Leaping forward in miniscule strides. Now is the time to grow, Moving onward We’ve been standing stagnant, growing numb. We have to tear our roots from these grounds. As the soil has been tainted And we have been deceived. They took control And led us too nothing. I won’t this time. This time if I fall to the ground, I won’t tell you all the lessons I’ve found. Because belonging is only for the wrong and the lonely, Surely you won’t conform me cause I won’t be around. How many times must we watch our own undoing? How many times must we watch our past re-occur? Why do we never learn from history? Why do we never learn from the pages of history?

You’ve reached life’s finish line To find out there’s no medals. As you watch your last breathe slip away, Ironically, you’re finally conscious of the fact, You’re nothing fucking special. You’re not so picture perfect, Though it may seem that way looking in, But your emptiness will tear you apart From the inside out. I don’t lead an exquisite life. No bitches, mansions or fancy cars. But I have something you’ll never understand. Within my chest. Where you lack innocence and compassion Is the key to my immortality. Noble names will stand the test of time, While villains are forgotten and replaced like falling leaves. Within my chest I hold a heart of gold. Some say it will weigh me down; The sacrifices are too great for the fight I’ve found. But I would rather fight right beside friends Than stand alone by myself controlling them. If this is my fatal flaw. You let it be the end of me and we’ll begin the fall. Because I’d rather do good than simply rot away; I would rather be loved with nothing to my name. This is my home, These are my friends, I swear I’d sacrifice everything. All I can do is try to represent what I think is right; All I can do is hope my name will stand the test of time.
